Your MissionREALIZE YOUR TALENTThe Field Application Engineer provides technical support to the sales organization, leading to increased business results for the Business Development Team. This position entails interfacing with customer's engineering, procurement, and quality departments, as well as Radiall Engineering, Sales and Manufacturing groups to propose and support various electronics projects with the most effective and profitable Radiall products/solutions, in several critical industries including defense, aerospace and telecom. These could include RF solutions, as well as many others including antennas, multipin connectors, microwave switches, and more!
- Establish and maintain close technical relationships with key customers. Identify additional opportunities with existing accounts. Assist customers in pre-sales technical discussions in order to define customer requirements. Negotiate all technical aspects with the customer such as specifications, compliance matrices, qualification plans, data sheets, etc.
- Prepare draft specifications for complex products or sub-systems. Demonstrate all product functionalities and performances. Prepare presentations, demonstration programs, tools etc. to meet the needs of customers and sales teams.
- Work closely with the Sales team to develop business opportunities and recommend and execute the most appropriate strategy to acquire these opportunities. This includes evaluation of business potential, obtaining approval for all aspects of pricing and performance, as well as monitoring and expediting of orders and other related functions.
- Assist the quality department to understand quality problems linked with product performance.
The ProfileKNOW THE REQUIREMENTS- To comply with ITAR, must be US Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident
- A.S. or B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from 4-year college or demonstrated experience in lieu of degree
- Sales engineering and/or training and experience with RF/ARINC/38999 interconnect components would be an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experienced self-starter with ability to travel up to 20%; will vary based on customer and project needs
- Ability to work in-person in the Tempe, AZ office, with some hybrid schedule flexibility following completion of training period.
