The job:Every day, your primary role will be to assist in developing firmware used on a variety of electronic hardware. Applications range from pump control to smart energy products and other emerging technologies. You will develop and debug firmware for embedded controllers following the standards and principles of the R&D team. You will be working closely with the hardware team, debugging circuit boards and ensuring the product passes agency testing. You will work in a project team environment with internal and external customers to create new products or improve existing products. You will occasionally develop mobile applications for smart phones, tablets or PCs for panel and alarm products.
The skills you need:To succeed in this role, you must have experience with Embedded C with and without the use of a Real-Time Operating System. You must be familiar with debugging embedded systems, and understand I2C, UART, and SPI interfaces, UI/UX development, as well as experience with Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and other wireless protocols. A 4-year degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree and 1-2 years of experience are required.
