Job DescriptionBrandStar Studios is seeking an experienced Line Producer to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of production, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality. The Line Producer will work closely with the director, producers, and department heads to plan, organize, and execute all aspects of production, from pre-production to post-production. This role is essential to managing the logistics and financial aspects of each project, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. Ultmately, the Line Producer is responsible for deciding how money is spent, ensuring all contracts are in-place, and have an understanding of the artistry involved in production to deal with unexpected challenges and help find creative solutions within budget.
Responsibilities of the Line Producer include:
- Collaborate with the head of production and executive producer to develop project budgets, timelines, and production plans.
- Manage and oversee all production operations, including pre-production, production, and post-production logistics.
- Develop detailed production schedules and ensure that all milestones and deadlines are met.
- Track and manage production budgets, ensuring that all costs remain within the agreed-upon financial parameters.
- Hire and manage crew members, negotiate contracts, and secure locations, equipment, and other resources needed for the production.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all production-related inquiries, working closely with internal departments and external vendors.
- Ensure that the production runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis by troubleshooting issues, resolving logistical challenges, and maintaining effective communication between departments.
- Oversee production staff and ensure that crew and cast are properly scheduled and managed throughout the production process.
- Monitor production to ensure that it meets creative goals while adhering to safety protocols and compliance regulations.
- Provide regular updates to producers, directors, and stakeholders regarding the status of the production.
- Manage the wrap-up of production, ensuring that all materials, files, and finances are properly closed out and archived.
Experience and Skills* Bachelor's degree in film production, communications, or related field (preferred but not required).
* 5+ years of experience in production, with at least 3 years in a line producer or production manager role.
* Strong understanding of production logistics, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, staying on top of complex details and shifting priorities.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of personalities and teams.
* Experience with various production equipment and software, including production management tools.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise during production.
* Knowledge of safety standards and compliance regulations in film and video production.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt to changing demands.
* A meticulous eye for detail and a strong sense of organization.
