Job Summary:The National Sales Manager (NSM) will lead and manage a high-performing, geographically dispersed sales team comprising 6-8 Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and 60-80 Sales Consultants (SCs) inside a regional territory consisting of approximately 10 to 15 branches. The NSM will be responsible for driving significant growth targets for the region that encompasses multiple branches while maintaining a strategic partnership with its operational counterpart, the Regional Manager. This role requires a seasoned sales leader capable of executing growth strategies, providing hands-on coaching, driving results among the Regional Sales Managers they oversee, and making decisions to ensure each team member's sales targets and branch's growth is a success.
The National Sales Manager will set the strategic direction for growth within their assigned region, identifying new opportunities and ensuring that sales goals are consistently met or exceeded. They will also monitor and manage team performance as the team expands and evolves throughout the year and provide immediate course corrections when needed to drive results.

Essential Functions:- Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, coach, inspire, and hold accountable a remote team of 6-8 Regional Sales Managers and 60-80 Sales Consultants to achieve their growth targets. Set performance expectations, hold regular one-on-one coaching sessions, and ensure a culture of accountability, collaboration, and success.
- Growth Strategy Execution:
- Develop and implement a clear, actionable growth strategy for assigned branches. Collaborate directly with the Regional Manager to ensure operational and sales alignment, driving profitability and market share expansion. Work with marketing to help drive brand awareness opportunities in various markets.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
- Track and analyze team performance metrics, recognizing success and underperformance early through using Salesforce. Quickly adjust strategies and provide the necessary support to improve results. Utilize data and feedback to drive continuous improvement across all sales team levels.
- Sales Targets & KPIs:
- Own the sales targets for the assigned region. Ensure that all branches and team members consistently meet or exceed sales quotas and contribute meaningfully to the company's overall growth objectives. Identify high-potential market segments and work to convert them into long-term growth opportunities. As the sales leader for the region, you will be accountable for delivering the growth targets set through the budget process.
- Remote Team Management:
- Maintain strong communication with your dispersed team. Use virtual tools and in-person visits to engage, motivate, and maintain a strong sense of connection and purpose within your team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner directly with the Regional Manager, Marketing, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless customer experience and effective execution of the company's growth plan. Champion cross-departmental communication and collaboration. Ability to collaborate at the branch with branch leadership and sales teams to set and execute strategy for growth.
- Recognition & Course Correction:
- Foster a culture of recognition within the team. Celebrate wins and address underperformance swiftly to prevent issues from escalating. Provide real-time coaching and training to ensure team success.
- Talent Development & Recruitment:
- Drive recruitment efforts to expand the team as the company grows. Identify and develop high-potential talent within the team, ensuring a succession pipeline for future leadership roles. Support Regional Sales Managers in recruiting efforts for Sales Consultants.
Qualifications:- Experience:
- 10+ years of sales leadership experience, with at least five years leading large, remote sales teams.
- Proven track record of driving double-digit sales growth in a multi-branch or regional structure.
- Experience working in an organization with multiple department leaders and reporting structures with the ability to collaborate with operational leaders cross-functionally.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate remote teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to quickly assess performance trends and course-correct when needed.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of building solid relationships at all levels.
- Experience in achieving budgeted growth targets, sales forecasting, and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to drive growth initiatives while managing day-to-day sales operations.
- Other Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or other related field is preferred.
- Travel at least 50% of the time to oversee branch performance and support the team.
