A Snapshot of Your DayAs a Team member of the SE TI CP P SV Team, you will help support the Service Centers North America Region and ensure customer care via the supply of materials based on customer requirements via the Purchase-To-Pay (P2P) processes!How You'll Make an Impact- Serve as a liaison between vendors and users, expediting orders when vital to ensure timely deliveries. Resolve complex issues related to delivery, quality, or invoices, ensuring smooth transactions and meeting project deadlines.
- Collaborate with suppliers to update project plans and purchasing systems, negotiating alternative procurement models that improve efficiency. Work to strengthen supplier relationships while ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Review and analyze requisitions and supply plans for both domestic and international purchases. Ensure that all procurement activities meet the organization's requirements for cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate prices, terms, and quality requirements with suppliers, striving for cost savings and value improvements across your assigned commodity areas. Focus on achieving favorable agreements that support business objectives.
- Develop supplier strategies and implement supplier development plans in close collaboration with Supplier Quality Management (SQM), Commodity Value Engineering (CVE), and Global Commodity Management. Ensure suppliers meet performance standards and contribute to long-term business goals.
- Evaluate market conditions and mitigate supply chain risks by working cross-functionally with key stakeholders. Identify new supply sources, conduct value analysis for cost improvements, and introduce innovative suppliers to enhance competitiveness and improve bid-winning potential.
What You Bring- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required (Engineering background preferred).
- 3+ years of combined experience in purchasing and field service operations.
- Demonstrate and apply broad knowledge of the field of specialization to optimally complete moderately sophisticated assignments. Optimally applies sophisticated knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of area of specialization!
- SAP knowledge is required.
- Keep an open attitude, embrace technological opportunities, have an ambitious mindset, and be curious. Ability to work independently and with an organized and disciplined approach
- Applicants must demonstrate excellent social leadership skills: active listening, collaboration, communication, persuasion & service orientation. Ability to travel 20% domestically or internationally. Digital Skills preferred: resolving computer problems with new technologies. i.e., programming skills
