Role: Project Manager/Oracle ERP
East Coast preferred. Remote position with occasional travel to the customer site
Project ManagerAbout the Job - Manages the day-to-day project activities which includes the project plan, scope, budget, financial forecasting, scheduling, resources, and quality control of work products following company's standards and governance guidelines and project management best practices.
- Advocate for the customer business teams and SME's.
- Organizes and leads working sessions or team meetings with various business and technical resources at all phases of the project. Ensures sessions and subsequent work products are well documented and incorporated into overall project process and delivery.
- Sets and continually manages project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholders.
- Develops and implements templates and standards for project deliverables and work products.
- Documents meeting minutes and action items. Manages project risks and issues.
- Develops and delivers progress reports and dashboards, and presents to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, and key stakeholders.
- Must be able to handle conflict and find a way to bring issues to resolution.
- Contributes to and/or leads vendor relationship management for project-related vendors; supports enterprise vendor management standards.
- Supports in the gathering of deliverables for customer review and approvals, and responsible for making sure documents are stored in the respective project repositories.
- Monitors project execution and escalates project issues as necessary.
- Maintains project documents including plans, reports, deliverables, and issue and risk tracking logs.
- Maintains a flexible work schedule based on resource schedules and project timelines.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree preferred, and/or higher level.
- 5+ years of project management experience with demonstrated success on medium to large scale ERP projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex technology projects within budget.
- Must possess strong interpersonal, oral, organizational, team building, and communication (written and verbal) skills. Relationship building is critical.
- Ability to communicate concisely and talk professionally to different levels of management.
- Ability to multi-task and respond to multiple priorities.
- Experience with project management tracking software and tools, including JIRA.
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience leading, motivating and managing various project team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance.
- Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented/collaborative environment.
- Experience working with vendors and technology partners in a service-delivery framework.
- Highly skilled in the following Microsoft applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Visio.
Preferred Requirements - Previous experience as a PM in a public sector environment.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Previous experience implementing Oracle products or other industry leading ERP software.
- Experience working in an IT or PMO service delivery model.
