As a Development Engineer, you will be exposed to a wide range of projects and tasks dealing with the development and manufacturing of high voltage circuit breakers as well as the implementation and commissioning of those products with customers. The local department is relatively small which allows for a culture of mentorship and open feedback. We also are part of a global R&D network so while we focus on local products, we also work with global teams for development and testing of new products and technologies. Because of this there are numerous opportunities available of continued learning and career development.
How You'll Make an Impact - Designing, testing, and implementing high voltage circuit breakers
- Create and maintain product manuals and other technical documents
- Plan and conduct mechanical and electrical test for circuit breaker products
- Provide technical guidance and training for manufacturing, quality, application engineering and order engineering groups
- Participation in relevant standards committees and interact with global counterparts
- Work with customers remotely or at customer site to configure and commission Siemens Energy products.
What You Bring - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Candidate should have 5-8 years of Engineering design experience for a level 7 or 2-5 years of experience for a level 8.
- Experience with CAD software (i.e., Inventor, AutoCAD, ProE, etc.)
- Experience in high voltage equipment, circuit breaker, energy or utility industry is a plus
- Experience with project and schedule management
