Job Title: Psychiatrist
Location: Brockport New York
Salary: $240,000 - $300,000 per year (DOE)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join our healthcare team. This position involves diagnosing, developing, and administering psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders. The Psychiatrist will collaborate with behavioral health and medical teams and provide direct patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Provide psychological therapy and treatment to patients.
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement treatment plans.
- Analyze and evaluate patient data, including test findings, to diagnose the nature and extent of mental health disorders.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in electronic medical record systems.
- Health Education:
- Provide education to patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Participate in the development and delivery of educational programs for healthcare providers.
- Staff Training & Development:
- Promote staff learning by providing training on topics like psychotropic medications, crisis intervention, and the relationship between psychosocial and physiological issues.
- Compliance & Quality Improvement:
- Participate in compliance audits and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Other Duties:
- Perform any other duties as assigned by leadership.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Psychiatrist (required).
- Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is a plus but not required.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple healthcare disciplines.
- Licensing & Education:
- Completion of a Psychiatry residency program (required).
- Must be board eligible or board certified by the American Psychiatric Association (required).
- Current New York State licensure as a Psychiatrist (required).
