    Job Details
  • 75 MILE STRAIGHT LINE RADIUS RULE (not driving distance) - NO LOCAL TRAVELERS - Please only submit candidates that are aware of their submission to our facility. Please do not allow candidates to contact the facility. Please only submit candidates with an active NM or compact license. Time off requests must be disclosed with the initial submission to be considered for approval. Time off requested after the acceptance date will not be approved. When submitting candidates include at least two references (one must be from current manager), a resume, and completed skills checklist/competency assessment.
  • EXP: Requires a minimum of two (2) years experience in large OR department. Ortho, EENT, and/or neurovascular experience a plus. Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment. Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment prior to submission. Candidate must be able to scrub.
  • CERTS: BLS required. PALS and ACLS preferred. BLS (ACLS, and PALS if obtained) must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
  • EMR: EPIC experience preferred.

    Schedule Information
  • 10 hour DAY shift position -- Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs.
  • Weekends, on call, and holidays may be required.
  • Travelers are first to float within the facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanently assigned location.
  • Orientation is the first week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training (Epic test out available, if used Epic within past six months).
    Additional Details
  • NO HOLIDAY RTO WILL BE APPROVED FOR TRAVELERS (updated 10.10.2024).
  • Travelers must not have been an employee of the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for 12 months from last day worked in order to be considered for a travel position.
  • State tax is passed through to your agency and will be reflected on your invoice. The state tax should be paid to the state of New Mexico.
  • ENSURE AN ACCURATE SS# and DOB IS ENTERED.
