The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including managing merchandise, managing their team, and ensuring safety. We are looking for an experienced warehouse supervisor candidate capable of maintaining organization and productivity.

Location:  Baie d'Urfé, QC

Hours : 7:30 - 4 p.m.

Reports to:  Plant Director

SUMMARY:

• Plan, coordinate and participate in activities related to Inventory control and Shipping and Receiving goods.
• Ensure safe and efficient storage
• Establish and monitor operational procedures
• Address performance issues and resolve problems

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and maintain the company’s material and finished goods inventory
• Ensure incoming product is received and managed appropriately according to company procedures
• Verify accuracy of shipments by counting, weighing and comparing description and code numbers with information on invoice, sales order, purchase order or packing slip (trucker signature required)
• Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged goods, record shortages and correspond with logistic and purchasing to rectify damages and shortages (trucker signature required)
• Inspect and verify conditions of incoming trucks/trailers and document it (trucker signature required)
• Ensure materials are ready and available for production as and when required
• Ensure that any materials that are late or holding up production for whatever reason are chased and followed up until received.
• Perform cyclic stock check
• Check and adjust shop floor collection data
• Ensure work orders are correct and fully completed and that all stock has been allocated to the job
• Ensure integrity of the stock management system
• Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved.
• Unload merchandise; verifies the quality and quantity of items against supporting documents
• Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates
• Affix shipping labels on packed goods
• Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications and regulations
• Contact resource people for various information
• Participate in taking inventory
• Maintain storage area, organize and place stock in locations
• Ensure area is secure at all times

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 – 5 Years experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, word, excel and outlook
• Good organization skills
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving
• Forklift Certification
