As a 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse team and designated facility. Collaborating closely with Operations leadership, you will ensure that both company and customer standards of service, quality, safety, and productivity are consistently met and exceeded. Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development : Supervise, mentor, and provide actionable performance feedback to your team. Ensure roles and duties are clearly assigned to maximize productivity, efficiency, and overall effectiveness.
- Operational Management : Oversee the complete operational process, including managing incoming and outgoing shipments, organizing merchandise, and maintaining a meticulous inventory system to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Production Planning & Resource Allocation : Coordinate production schedules, allocate resources, and manage time and production records to ensure tasks are completed on time and within established guidelines.
- Reporting & Tracking : Track warehouse activities, including sales, inventory control, and purchasing, to maintain product availability. Generate and send timely reports to relevant personnel to keep everyone aligned.
- Process Improvement & Compliance : Ensure that operations meet established standards for quality, safety, and productivity while continuously looking for opportunities to improve processes and maintain high levels of service.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Equipment Handling : Work with machinery and material handling equipment to facilitate smooth warehouse operations and optimize efficiency.
- Employee Relations : Resolve employee issues promptly, maintain clear communication across all levels of the organization, and foster a positive work environment.
- Project Management : Take on assigned projects as directed, demonstrating your ability to manage new initiatives and contribute to the operational success of the facility.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience : 2 years of warehouse or logistics leadership experience, with a proven track record of supervising teams and managing warehouse operations.
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) Proficiency : Hands-on experience with WMS to track, manage, and streamline warehouse operations efficiently.
- Conflict Management Skills : Strong conflict resolution abilities to address challenges in the workplace with diplomacy and professionalism.
- Physical Ability : Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. (weight may vary depending on the facility) and work in temperatures as low as -20°F (-25°C) in cold storage or up to 100°F (37°C) in dry storage, while wearing appropriate protective gear.
- Flexibility : Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, to meet the dynamic needs of the operation.
- Adaptability : Comfortable working in environments with varying noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.
