Casa Nonna is a new Italian American restaurant from the owners of Bardea which will be located in the DE.CO Food Hall. The restaurant is warm and cozy and will feel like eating at your Grandmother's House. The chef/co-owner Antimo DiMeo's is using his grandmother's recipes from Naples Italy. Casa Nonna is opening early 2025!

Job Summary: As a Lead Host / Maître d’ at Bardea Restaurant Group, you will be the welcoming face and first point of contact for our guests. You will be responsible for overseeing front-of-house operations, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth and efficient guest flow. Your leadership and customer service skills will be crucial in creating a positive dining experience and maintaining the high standards of our brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for their dining experience.
- Manage the reservation system, ensuring accurate bookings and effective communication with the service team.
- Assign seating based on guest preferences and parties’ needs, optimizing table turnover while maintaining guest comfort.
- Oversee the flow of guests in the restaurant, coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with tact and efficiency, ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Train and supervise the host team, fostering a positive culture and ensuring excellent service standards are upheld.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu and beverage offerings to provide informed recommendations to guests.
- Monitor the cleanliness and presentation of the host stand and dining areas.
- Assist with special events and private dining arrangements, ensuring seamless execution of services.
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on local dining trends and competitor offerings to keep the restaurant competitive and relevant.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar position (Lead Host or Maître d’) in a high-volume restaurant preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a strong ability to manage diverse guest interactions.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in reservation and table management systems.
- A passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team while fostering a positive working environment.
- Flexible schedule and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
