Background Requirements

• 5+ years in manufacturing purchasing
• Strong knowledge and skills in procurement strategies, administration, and best practices
• Planning and procurement of various commodities using a MRP system and other related tools.
• Cost/quality analysis, inventory management, inventory valuing, and forecasting.
• Supplier cost negotiation
• Ability to act as the voice of the company to suppliers
• Ability to work onsite with occasional travel to other regional plants

Job Responsibilities

• Planning and purchasing of direct materials
• Provides support to engineering for the planning of direct materials needed for product launch
• Develops and maintains good supplier relations
• Ensures established purchasing practices, methods and procedures are adhered to and in compliance with IATF certification.
• Supply forecasting
