Position Summary:
The Vice President of Human Resources (VP of HR) will serve as a strategic leader and trusted advisor to the executive team, driving the development and execution of HR strategies that align with the company’s business objectives. This role will oversee all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational development, compensation and benefits, and compliance. The VP of HR will play a critical role in fostering a high-performance culture within the organization and supporting a workforce that thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the company's goals and align with its mission and values.
- Partner with the executive team to drive organizational growth, transformation, and succession planning.
2. Talent Management:
- Lead talent acquisition efforts to attract and retain top talent in a competitive labor market.
- Oversee performance management systems, leadership development, and employee engagement programs.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
3. Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Cultivate a positive, inclusive workplace culture that prioritizes employee satisfaction and retention.
- Act as a trusted advisor and mediator to address employee concerns and conflicts.
- Develop initiatives to promote employee well-being and work-life balance.
4. Compensation and Benefits:
- Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs that align with market standards and company goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
5. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):
- Champion DEI initiatives, fostering an environment where diverse perspectives and backgrounds are valued.
- Collaborate with leaders across the organization to embed DEI into hiring practices, training, and workplace culture.
6. Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Develop and enforce company policies and procedures that mitigate risks and uphold ethical practices.
7. Operational Efficiency:
- Streamline HR processes and systems to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Leverage HR analytics to inform decision-making and measure the impact of HR initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certifications (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated success in driving organizational change and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Experience with HRIS systems and data-driven decision-making.
