Turnaround Planner
Position Summary
The Turnaround Planner develops and coordinates maintenance and repair plans for plant turnarounds, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operations.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational, planning, and leadership skills.
- Experience in plant maintenance and turnarounds.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of safety and quality standards.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical & instrumentation drawings and P&IDs.
- Experience preparing and reviewing test/work packages for field issuance.
- Proficiency in business software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook), SAP, Primavera P6, and Adobe.
- 5+ years of electrical journey-level maintenance experience and/or electrical maintenance planning.
- 5+ years of maintenance and/or engineering experience, preferably in industrial outages, LV & HV motors, heaters, power distribution equipment, and preventative maintenance.
Essential Functions
- Strong knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes.
- Understand electrical and instrumentation construction and workflow processes.
- Perform bending, climbing, crawling, lifting, and shift work as required.
- Accurately complete other duties as assigned.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Manage detailed maintenance shutdowns, daily work planning, and materials procurement.
- Provide leadership in risk management, contractor safety, and operational safety issue mitigation.
- Lead assigned portions of outage scopes through planning and execution.
- Organize materials, including expediting, quoting prices, and ensuring correct part availability.
- Develop scopes for assigned work orders during outages, identifying required secondary or support disciplines.
- Create detailed planning activities in Primavera P6, including tasks, manpower, durations, and assigned disciplines.
- Provide daily schedule updates during outage execution.
- Create comprehensive job planning packages per guidelines for internal and external distribution, including bid events and contractor field personnel.
- Packages may include pictures, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, applicable standards, QC requirements, etc.
- Support the Management of Change process by recognizing plant changes and completing documentation and recommendations promptly.
- Maintain communication with craftspeople, contractor representatives, and material suppliers.
- Uphold high standards of housekeeping in assigned areas and job sites, conducting regular inspections.
- Complete closeout and documentation per standards and procedures.
