Job summary:

We are looking for an experienced Machinist to join our clients manufacturing team in Avondale, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and replacing tools and fixtures to support efficient production processes. You will operate manual and CNC machining equipment, ensure tools are in top working condition, and collaborate with engineers and assembly workers to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Salary: $62,000 - 70,000 per year

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair tools, jigs, and fixtures used in the assembly process to ensure optimal performance.
• Manufacture or replace worn or damaged tools and fixtures using manual and CNC machining equipment.
• Operate machining equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to create and maintain high-precision components.
• Develop and follow a preventive maintenance schedule for tools and fixtures to minimize production downtime.
• Collaborate with assembly line workers, engineers, and other departments to identify and resolve tool or fixture issues.
• Ensure that all machining and maintenance tasks comply with company safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain detailed records of tool repairs, replacements, and maintenance activities.
• Assist in managing inventory for tools, fixtures, and parts, and communicate with the purchasing department about any shortages.
• Troubleshoot mechanical or machining issues to provide timely solutions and maintain production continuity.
