This role offers an opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide leadership in the delivery of patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care:Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems through case finding, health teaching, and supportive care.Provide direct care, ensuring the highest standards of practice and safety. Coordination and Supervision:Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate care for assigned patients.Supervise nursing care provided by LPNs, RNPs, nursing attendants, technicians, and supplemental staff. Assessment and Planning:Assess patient needs and develop comprehensive plans addressing physical, psychosocial, and spiritual care.Incorporate age-specific considerations (e.g., pediatric, geriatric) into care plans. Monitoring and Communication:Observe, evaluate, and document patient responses to illness and treatment.Communicate significant changes to relevant team members and reassess care plans as needed. Leadership and Collaboration:Establish care priorities in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.Serve as a clinical resource for staff and student nurses, participating in staff orientation and education.Participate in quality improvement (QI) initiatives and research projects. Additional Responsibilities:Assume charge nurse responsibilities as delegated.Work collaboratively with coworkers, providing support and ensuring patient coverage.Engage in professional development through continuing education, certifications, and organizational involvement. Qualifications: Required:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).2–3 years of experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center.Current certifications: TNCC, BLS, ACLS, PALS, AHA Stroke certification.Proficiency in vent/tracheostomy and gastrostomy tube care, and medication titration.Ability to effectively utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant healthcare tools. Preferred:Board Certification in a related specialty.
