Position Details: CT Technologist- Philadelphia, PA Location : Philadelphia, PA 19104 Project Duration : 3+ Months (Contract) Shift Information : 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM Monday - Friday Job Summary: - Perform computed tomography techniques and examinations
- Conducts a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures including assisting radiologists with biopsies, cardiac CT, CT Angiograms, and post-processing.
- Produce computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretation
- Operate CT equipment and select technical factors
- Responsible for proper identification on images, including both identification and demographic information 100% of the time.
- Document all related data.
- Provide radiation protection for patients, families, staff, the general public and self.
Other Responsibilities: • Identify, process, transfer and archive patient exams including exam records, images and patient demographics.
• Maintain the integrity and security of the radiology information systems.
• Resolve and escalate complex issues.
• Orient and train fellow staff technologists.
• Develop and deliver training and in-service presentations.
• Subject to on-call status including weekends and holidays.
• Other shifts as assigned

Skills: - Basic knowledge of computed tomography imaging
- Basic knowledge of picture archiving and communication systems (PACS)
- Basic knowledge of radiology information systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Intermediate proficiency with office software (MS Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent organizational skills
Education: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) issued through on organization that requires a hands-on instructor lead psychomotor skills verification (ex. American Heart Association or Red Cross). Required.
- Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) within 12 months of the start date.
- Required Education: High School Diploma / GED
- Technical Diploma from a Radiology Program Required
- Pediatric experience highly preferred
- Level 4 worker
