POSITION OVERVIEW The Finance Assistant will assist in the administration of the financial/business functions within Mass. Bay Brewing Company, Inc. (MBBC) by performing tasks with work priorities and general instructions provided by the Finance Department and general instructions provided by the Finance Department.
POSITION RESPONSIBLITITES - Customer activities, specifically related to billing and customer collections
- Vendor activities, specifically related to purchasing and cash disbursements
- Manage and maintain proper compliance filings with state beer shipments to all required states
- Reconciliation, analysis, and reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual Company-wide shipment revenue
- Principle contact for invoice related questions from our wholesalers
- Oversee process of inventory removals via sign-outs for three warehouse locations
- Assist Finance Department with ad hoc projects, document processing and accounting related activities

REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or similar field
- 1-2 years experience in accounting and performing the above mentioned duties may substitute for degree requirement)
- Working knowledge of accounting systems and the following Microsoft products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Familiarity with finance and statistical analysis software
- Understanding of financial and accounting principles
- An ability to analyze trends and provide data-based advice
