JOB SUMMARY This position requires a strong knowledge of aircraft airframe, avionics and electronics systems. This job includes varying amounts of parts replacement or repair, electrical troubleshooting and general mechanical applications. Supervision of the team and direction of project flow will be a primary function. Work order processing, log book, entries, required FAA forms and pricing to the customers are routine duties. Job duties will vary each day and will encompass projects as designated by Installations Manager. Will be required to work independently and lead multiple projects. Will have direct customer contact. .
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - This shall include, but not be limited to items such as removal and installation of panels, components and interiors, as well as repair work on avionics installations.
- Stamp, bundle and install connectors on wiring.
- Removal of old wiring and installation of new wire bundles in aircraft.
- Troubleshooting and evaluation of avionics systems on the aircraft efficiently.
- Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
- Aircraft movement and assistance in hangar stack when required.
- Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling when required.
- Lead or work independently on projects on a regular basis.
- Work within a team process and lead team members.
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education High school diploma or equivalent.
Electronics training classes.
Avionics system factory training required.
Experience 5 year prior experience on aircraft avionics maintenance installations preferred.
Experience in supervision of other technicians.
FAA paperwork, work order and billing process experience.
Initiative Self-motivated and able to maintain a rapid pace.
Able to process work with minimum supervision.
Ability to lead and provide incentive to other team members.
Able to deal directly with customers, including with areas of conflict.
Responsibility Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.

Ability to follow wiring diagrams, route and terminate wires at proper locations.
Ability to troubleshoot, evaluate and perform functional tests for various avionics and instrument systems.
Ability to work with others in a professional manner.
Supervision Will work under supervision of assigned Team Leader and Installations Manager.
May be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity.
Work with minimal supervision when required.
Work with other Team Leaders on multiple projects in a cooperative manner.
Working Conditions The majority of work will be accomplished in a heated hangar.
Work outside during aircraft runs will occur.
Varied positions in and around the aircraft.
