Our client is looking to hire an Infrastructure lead for a full-time position in Lisle, IL. Client is a technology consulting and support firm that provides customized and dependable solutions for small to mid-size companies. As a Microsoft Certified Partner, Client specializes in implementing all aspects of Microsoft technology through systems, services, software, and support.

As Infrastructure Lead, you will be at the forefront of our technology assisting a global list of companies that are taking advantage of a growing set of Microsoft mission-critical systems, applications, and tools to operate their businesses. You will work with various companies in various industries and collaborate directly with infrastructure and application team members supporting these systems and infrastructure. Fulltime Position

Lisle, IL

Hybrid _3X per week


Technical Skills Needed:

  • Server Level - MS Cloud
  • Disaster Recovery Procedures/Processes
  • Virtualization - Hyper V/VM Ware
  • Cyber Security concepts
  • Azure Security Framework
  • Azure Tennant Management

Any defense or Aerospace is a plus

Maintaining Data Center Ops

Responsible for analyzing, designing, configuring, and installing new and upgraded components and devices for our clients’ existing network and server infrastructure. This includes performing a wide variety of tasks in the technology life cycle, including evaluation & planning, implementation, maintenance, monitoring and team training to ensure network performance meet and exceed our client’s expectations.


Key Duties:

Architect and design network and application infrastructure to meet client requirements

Propose network and system enhancements to improve performance and resolve issues

Troubleshoot network / server problems and takes appropriate actions to resolve

Support and guide team goals, objectives, and work standards to meet and exceed client expectations

Lead in developing standard communications, policies and procedures to achieve company goals, objectives, and work standards

Lead projects, as well as serve as a reliable support resource for other projects

Audit systems and follow industry best practices

Perform routine maintenance and monitoring tasks including updates, upgrades, patches, etc

Support cybersecurity initiatives and working proactively to protect client data and maintain security and integrity

Lead day-to-day operations related to support and maintenance services

Support all activities in a manner that minimizes impact on users and network operations, which will require occasional off-hours support


Desired Qualifications:

5 to 8 years progressive leadership experience within the information technology industry

3+yrs experience managing and developing technical teams

Familiarity with server virtualization, including Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware

Hands-on experience across a broad set of technologies:

  • Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Exchange, Office, Active Directory, SQL, Remote Desktop Services, Microsoft Dynamics 365,
  • Networking and connectivity, including Internet/Intranet, Servers, Firewalls, VPN, switching/wireless infrastructure, LAN/WAN
  • Operating Systems and Databases

Experience with Cybersecurity initiatives and implementations similar to NIST 800-171 and other governing industry standards


Preferred Qualifications:

Past experience as a systems administrator, network engineer or software development engineer

Administration and deployment of Microsoft cloud services including M365 and Azure

Direct customer support experience, including at the executive and C-Level

Data and metrics driven focus, both qualitative and quantitative

Persuasive communication, both verbal and written

Strong analytical background, comfortable in ambiguous situations.


Desired Education: Bachelor’s degree in information science / information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
