Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal to support our legal team in all phases of the litigation process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of civil litigation procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Assist in all phases of the litigation process, including case development, document management, and trial preparation.
- Legal Research: Conduct legal and factual research relevant to case matters.
- Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery requests and responses.
- Filing and Docketing: File documents with courts and maintain a comprehensive docketing system to track deadlines and case progress.
- Discovery Management: Collect, review, and organize documents for discovery; manage document production and responses.
- Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, keeping them informed on case status and responding to inquiries.
- Trial Preparation: Organize and prepare exhibits, assist with witness coordination, and provide on-site support during trials.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field; paralegal certification preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a civil litigation paralegal.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
