Job Description

A prominent national law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Temporary Legal Administrative Assistant to provide critical support to their legal team. This role is ideal for candidates with strong administrative skills and a basic understanding of legal procedures, looking for a temporary opportunity in a fast-paced, professional environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments for attorneys.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing inquiries appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate records and filing systems, both electronically and physically.
  • Prepare and proofread documents, letters, and presentations.
  • Conduct basic legal research and compile information as requested by attorneys.
  • File legal documents with courts or regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with deadlines.
  • Organize case files, exhibits, and supporting documentation for attorney review.
  • Provide support for billing and timekeeping activities, including entering data into firm systems.
  • Assist with special projects and other tasks as needed to support the firm’s operations.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or legal assistant role is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal software (e.g., Clio, BestCase, or equivalent).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is a plus.


Compensation:

$20 - $25/hr. depending on experience
