Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Employee Relations Manager to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will manage a caseload of 15-20 employee relations cases, overseeing investigations, documentation, and resolution strategies to ensure a fair and compliant work environment. You will collaborate closely with employees and leadership to address concerns, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive positive employee engagement across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in high-volume HR, specifically in employee engagement or employee relations, and a strong ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while providing timely and thorough resolutions. Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Oracle and Dayforce is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management:
- Manage a caseload of 15-20 employee relations cases, ensuring thorough investigations, effective resolution strategies, and timely closure of each case.
- Document all cases, ensuring accurate, detailed records and maintaining confidentiality.
- Investigation Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive investigation strategies for complex or sensitive employee relations matters, such as harassment, discrimination, performance issues, and policy violations.
- Conduct interviews, gather evidence, and assess both employee and management perspectives to form fair and unbiased conclusions.
- Employee Engagement & Communication:
- Act as a point of contact for employees seeking support with workplace concerns, providing guidance, and resolving issues in a manner that fosters positive working relationships.
- Conduct scheduled conversations and meetings with employees to discuss concerns, offer coaching, and facilitate resolutions.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure all investigations and actions comply with legal and organizational policies, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Partner with legal, compliance, and management teams to mitigate potential risks and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for all cases, ensuring timely reports are provided to leadership on the status of ongoing investigations and resolutions.
- Track trends in employee relations matters and make recommendations for process or policy improvements to HR leadership.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other HR functions (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Benefits) to foster a cohesive and supportive organizational culture.
- Provide training and guidance to managers on effective employee relations practices, conflict resolution, and policy enforcement.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in employee relations or human resources, with a focus on high-volume case management and employee relations.
- Strong understanding of employment laws, policies, and best practices related to employee relations.
- Proven experience in conducting workplace investigations and managing complex employee issues.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of cases efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience with HRIS systems such as Oracle and Dayforce.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification (or equivalent) preferred but not required.
