General Manager
Location: Greater Quad Cities Area, Iowa (Relocation Provided)
$190,000 - $215,000 25% Bonus, $75K/Equity
The General Manager will oversee three manufacturing facilities, including one in China, managing all operations and engineering. This role is vital for driving safety, quality, delivery, and profitability. We seek a strategic leader with manufacturing expertise to promote a culture of safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership:
- Oversee engineering, quality control, production planning, and logistics to ensure productivity and cost efficiency. Align manufacturing operations with strategic objectives and monitor performance metrics. Collaborate with the President of China on global business performance.
- Strategic Planning and Business Development:
- Work with executive leadership on long-term strategic plans, assess market trends with Sales, and lead initiatives for global expansion and customer satisfaction.
- Financial Management:
- Manage the P&L and budgeting process, ensuring financial goals are met. Analyze data to boost profitability and implement cost-saving measures.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Inspire high-performing teams, mentor future leaders, and foster a collaborative culture. Set performance expectations and encourage innovation.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with key customers, collaborate with sales and marketing, and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of manufacturing processes and lean principles.
- Financial Acumen: Experience in budgeting and cost reduction.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record in managing high-performing teams.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills.

Minimum Requirements:
- Advanced Degree preferred; Bachelor’s required
- Ability to reside in Iowa or NW Illinois; no telecommute or remote option
- 15+ years in manufacturing and/or operational leadership
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, preferably in belt/rubber materials.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
- Minimum 3 years managing multiple projects.
