Job Description:
As the Lead Pastry Cook, you will oversee the preparation, execution, and presentation of all pastry items in the kitchen. You will work closely with  Chef Chetan and Sous Chefs to create innovative dessert menus, manage daily pastry operations, and lead a team of pastry cooks. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and has a passion for creating exceptional pastries.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods to the highest standards.
  • Oversee daily pastry production, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create seasonal and innovative dessert menus.
  • Train, supervise, and mentor junior pastry cooks and kitchen staff.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage waste to ensure cost control.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and pastry techniques.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role in a high-volume, fine-dining environment.
  • Strong knowledge of baking and pastry techniques, including cake decoration, plating, and dessert composition.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • A passion for pastry and a creative approach to dessert creation.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
