Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality CT studies. Responsible for ensuring effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary. In some instances, trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.nnSpecific duties include, but are not limited to:nnEnsures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications to radiation and contrast injections. Also, the use of aseptic injection techniques.nnProduces high quality diagnostic images.nnEffectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.nnTrains new technologist and/or PC's.nnTrouble-shoots the scanner, coach and all peripheral equipment (including: monitors, PACS, etc.).nnPosition Requirements:nnHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.nnRegistered Computed Tomography Technologists by the ARRT.nnIf allowable by state where service is provided certification by the NMTCB in Computed Tomography acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry.nnState license.nnLicensed in Medical Imaging, if applicable.nnCPR certification.nnTechnologists performing mid-day moves.nnActive State Driver’s License.nnStrong customer service skills.nnOrganizational and multi-tasking skills.nnBasic knowledge of computer applications and programsnnThe COVID-19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.nnAll candidates who accept an offer for employment will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.nnPhysical Requirements:nnThe employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions during transport of patients if working on a mobile unit.
