Job DescriptionnnSign on bonus eligible position! Eligible for up to a $15,000 sign on.nnArnot Health is looking for a Multi-modality Technologist experienced in both Radiology and CT. This shift is Wednesday through Friday 7:00pm to 7:30am.nnPOSITION SUMMARY:nnOperates X-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body under the supervision of a radiologist.nnREPORTS TO: Radiology/Imaging Services ManagernnDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:nn** 1. Adjusts X-ray equipment to appropriate settings for part to be examined.nn** 2. Adjusts collimators to show visible cone cut off on all procedures.nn** 3. Wears protective clothing as necessary.nn** 4. Uses proper film size for part to be examined.nn** 5. Positions X-ray tube and patient at proper angles and distances to obtainnnclear and undistorted radiographs.nn** 6. Able to perform satisfactory operation of all portable radiographicnnequipment.nn** 7. Assists in record keeping and filing as time allows.nn** 8. Assists in performing first aid as necessary.nn** 9. Keeps work area neat and clean.nn** 10. Maintains composure during crisis situation and responds appropriately.nn** 11. Adheres to infection control, universal precautions and safety policies.nnCompletes all aspects of assigned safety inspections in designatednntimeframe.nnDemonstrates safety in working habits and personal conduct.nnHas working knowledge of Corporate Compliance regulations and promptlynnreports any potential Corporate Compliance violations to the Corporate Compliance Officer.nnIs familiar with and demonstrates Continuous Quality Improvementnnprinciples and participates in the process as appropriate, focusing on meeting the customer service needs of the internal and external customers.nnMust possess the highest ethical standards with respect to discretion andnnregard for confidential information.nnProvides age appropriate care to neonate, infant, children, adolescent,nnadult and geriatric patients.nnIs responsible for attending all annual mandatory educational programs asnnrequired by position.nnIn order to provide the highest quality care to our patients andnnresidents, individuals may be required to work hours beyond those normally scheduled. Work schedules may be subject to change based on the needs of the department.nnIt is understood that this job description lists typical duties for thennclassification and is not to be considered inclusive of all duties which may be assigned.nnEDUCATION/TRAINING:nnSatisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school and the ability to meet requirement of licensure in the State of New York. Current BLS required.nnEXPERIENCE:nnPrevious Hospital experience preferred.nnPHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:nnIntermittent sitting, standing and walking. Must be able to work under stress-type conditions.nnEXPOSURE CATEGORY:nnCategory II. Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues, but employment may require performing unplanned category I tasks.nn#LI-MO1nnRequirements
