Biron Robertson, LLC staffs travel positions across North Carolina and the domestic US and will have travel positions available when this position ends.

Surgical Tech Responsibilities:
n
· Serve as part of a medical team providing surgical care to patients; facilitates the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures
n
· Demonstrates knowledge of good aseptic techniques through surgical scrub procedures, handling of instruments, other sterile supplies, and gowning
n
· Maintains sterile conditions on surgical field
n
· Recognizes break in surgical techniques
n
· Ensures cleanliness of the Operating Room, the presence of supplies and the functioning of all equipment
n
· Compares case cart contents with scheduled procedure
n
· Accepts sutures from circulating nurse and prepares them for sequential use
n
· Assists in draping the patient
n
· Anticipates surgeon's needs for specific instruments, sponges, or other equipment required for operative procedures, as directed, using aseptic techniques
n
· Responds appropriately to a change in patient's condition and proceeds upon surgeon's request
n
· Explains, involves and instructs patient/families concerning the therapeutic regimen and environment of care
n
· Effectively utilizes the electronic as well as the paper medical record
n

· Skills required: Experience with all ages, Inpatient, Trauma, Scrub, Aseptic Technique, ENT, General , Ortho, Ortho/Spine, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Vascular, Thoracic, Neuro, Gyn, Neuro/Spine.

· Robotics is a plus. DaVinci.
n
· Certifications: BLS, AART
n
· Must have 2 years of experience.
n
· Must have BLS, NBSTA certifications.
