Performs Cardiac echo studies in accordance with the Inter societal Accreditation Commission’s standards and guidelines for EchocardiographynnPrepares patient for all exams.nnEnters preliminary technical findings into McKesson CPACS Echo report to be viewed by the interpreting physiciannnMaintains department records and Secures PHI in accordance with hospital policy and procedures.nnOrders supplies.nnAssists with scheduling.nnPrepares patient room and maintains room and equipmentcleanliness in accordance with manufacturer recommendations andInfection preventionhospital policies.nnAbility to perform mobile echocardiography.nnIt is understood that this is a summary of key job functions and does not include every detail of the job that may reasonably be required.nnExperience/Knowledge/Skills RequirednnExtensive knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.nnExperienced in Transthoracic(M-mode, 2-D and 3D echocardiography, Strain, Stress Echo, Transesophageal Echo and Contrast Enhancement procedures.nnAble to use Philips or other comparable ultrasound equipmentnnAbility to assist in performance of Echocardiography procedures.nnEducation RequirednnWritten and verbal English skills at a 12th grade level.nnFormal echocardiography program with minimum of 2 years of combined didactic and scanning experience.nnMust document at least 15 hours of CME’s of echocardiography-related CME over a period of 3 years and CME’s must be earned within the 3-year period prior to submission to the accrediting body.
