Join Our Team! We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for an Accounts Payable Team Leader. As a key member of our finance department, you will play an essential role in ensuring timely payments and efficient expense control by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. This is a temporary hybrid position based in Downtown Los Angeles, with compensation reaching up to $41/hr based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly review all invoices for proper documentation and approval before processing payments.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and respond to inquiries.
  • Research and handle charge-backs and recalls as necessary.
  • Ensure all invoices are accurately coded to the general ledger and have the necessary approvals for payment.
  • Input invoices into the accounts payable system efficiently.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of merchandise and expense invoices.
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail as part of office operations.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, address issues, and correct discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain comprehensive files and documentation in line with company policies and accepted accounting standards.
  • Assist with various projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable, including three-way match and general accounting knowledge.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable and general accounting principles.
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on prioritizing tasks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and high ethical standards.
  • Adept at meeting multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
