As an employer of choice we offer physical, emotional, financial and professional benefits including 401k, disability insurance and paid holidays.nnSummary: As a member of the Martin’s Family, the Accounts Payable Clerk provides clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization and maintains accurate accounts payable records by performing the following duties.nnEssential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.nnMatches, s cans and keys invoices into the accounts payable system.nnVerifies invoices are accurate and complete before processing (including such things as coding, correct pricing, proper approvals and sales & use tax).nnSorts invoices according to due date and type.nnVerifies invoices have the proper approval before submitting for payment.nnPrepares accounts payable checks.nnMaintains tractor trailer mileage records.nnDisburses U.S. Postal mail to appropriate persons for approval, etc.nnAnswers vendor inquiries.nnAssists with maintaini ng v endo r records.nnPrepares and processes invoices for payment.nnAssists accounts payable supervisor and works on special projects, as necessary.nnComplies with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.nnMaintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.nnAudits and verifies expense reports.nnSupervisory Responsibilities:nnThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.nnQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A.) ; ornnO ne to three year s related experience and/or trainin g .nnLanguage Skills:nnAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.nnMathematical Skills:nnAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.nnReasoning Ability:nnAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
