As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for welding multiple alloys using the TIG welding process and assist the manufacture, assembly, and test for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of production and development for rocket launch vehicles and spacecraft. Special Mentions (Edit or remove as needed) * Relocation provided * Shifts available: o A Shift: Mon-Thursday (5:00 AM - 3:30 PM) o B Shift: Mon-Thursday (3:30 PM - 2:00 AM) * Interviews will include a technical assessment * Multiple positions available Additional responsibilities include: TIG welding aerospace stainless steel and inconel hardware, using manual and/or automatic equipment Weld preparation including cutting, blending, chamfering and cleaning parts Support/prepare parts for post-weld inspection processes such as dye penetrant, X-ray and chemical treatments Design support and fabrication of tooling for welding and assembly Communicate with engineers on design concepts, offering suggestions for improvements to the design. CNC system programming, both at the machine control and with offline software to include multi-axis programming. Setup, operate, and troubleshoot laser equipment. Perform Strip Welding and Installation on Flight Hardware Review, edit and follow Work Instructions for welding and assembly work Safely work within an industrial environment Ability to work off-shifts Other Duties as assigned. Qualifications: Experience with DC- and AC-TIG welding of aerospace stainless steels and aluminum, inconel alloys Ability to interpret engineering drawings Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to document and maintain accurate records Ability to use precision hand tools, standard mechanical tools and fabrication shop equipment, also develop fixtures/tooling. Familiar with use of personal computers Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired: Orbital welding experience or knowledge Familiarity with tube fabrication (bend, flare, fittings, etc.) and pressurized system safety Knowledgeable in the use of 3-D CAD tools (CREO is preferred), and ability to read and interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard Knowledge of drawing review, scheduling and work order systems, inventory and various issue tracking systems Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware Machining experience Crane Operator/Lift Coordinator Experi
