Senior Wireless Engineer
We are seeking a talented Senior Wireless Engineer to join our team and work on a variety of wireless communications challenges. If you have extensive experience in research, development, and engineering of wireless systems, we want to hear from you! This position is based at APL's main campus in Laurel, MD, with some travel required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on new technologies and deliver solutions for evolving threats in wireless communications
- Create software and hardware prototypes for novel signal processing approaches
- Collaborate on diverse wireless technologies including wireless, SATCOM, SDR, RF modeling, waveform design, and more
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field with at least ten years of experience, OR a Master's degree with at least five years of experience
- Proficiency in communication theory and digital signal processing
- Experience in modeling and simulation with MATLAB, Python, or other languages
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ten or more years of experience in communication engineering
- Expertise in end-to-end RF system design and familiarity with wireless systems, geolocation, detection theory, and more
- Current Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance
