Works closely with the Laser Programmer in order to fulfill the orders of cutting parts. Maintains the laser equipment to ensure timely and consistent production of quality cut parts.nnJob Duties/Responsibilities:nnCheck and clean lenses at the beginning of every shift using acetone and lens wipes.nnChange laser gas mixture once it has reached 24 hours.nnHighest priority is to keep the laser cutting throughout your shift:nnMakes nozzle changes.nnConducts height calibrations.nnCenters Nozzle.nnCleans Window.nnClears alarms.nnLoads and unloads as needed.nnPerforms regular and general maintenance.nnFollows operational standards and trouble shooting guide.nnUnload and puts away steel from the steel truck.nnClean out drawers on both sides of the Laser every other day and distributes parts to proper location.nnAssist with part break out when not running laser.nnUnload skeleton cart and dumps steel dumpster.nnCollect steel order and laser parts quantities at the end of each week.nnWipe down laser, windows, tracks and sweeps surroundings during the last 45 minutes of the week.nnHelp fill in with various forklift duties; loads and unloads trucks when the material handler is not present.nnPerform other related duties as assigned.nnRequired Skills/Abilities:nnAbility to work and achieve goals with minimum supervision.nnSelf-starter, motivated and works well in a team environment.nnEducation and Experience:nnHigh school diploma or equivalentnn2-3 years minimum Laser Operator experience.nnPhysical Requirements:nnAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.nnAbility to work standing for up to 10 hours per day.nnThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
