Powered by JupyterLab, the quant platform combines world-class open source Python libraries with the world's leading financial database, allowing our clients to generate unique research in quantitative finance and help them to capture alpha in a highly competitive landscape.nnAs a global team we have people based in London, New York, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney, and work collaboratively with our Account Management teams, Product Development and R&D teams.nnWhat's the role?nnYou will use your financial markets knowledge to consult with Bloomberg clients or prospective clients, helping them to develop and implement their investment strategies and research on leveraging our Excel APIs, VBA, our cutting edge query language (BQL) and new Python based quant platform (BQNT). With access to the world's most comprehensive financial database, you will have a direct impact on Bloomberg revenue by working closely with our account management teams to develop new tactical desktop applications to sell Bloomberg Terminals. Your role will involve full life-cycle development, from initial demos to prospective clients, requirement gathering, prototyping, implementation, deployment and adoption. In addition to software development, you will be expected to create resources and client-facing content that is both strategic in its appeal to our audience, while also taking advantage of current events in the marketplace. As you deepen your knowledge, you may have an opportunity to progress into the BQuant Enterprise Solutions Team or on to other tech positions within areas such as Enterprise Services and Engineering.nnWe'll trust you to:nnPartner with our account management team to build tactical Excel and Python solutions to increase revenue opportunities for the companynnLiaise between the client, product development teams, R&D to push internally for enhancements or fixes to the APIs or the platformnnProvide assistance on new strategies or migration projects the clients wish to implement by using Bloomberg APIsnnWork on projects to provide short-term product gap solutions for the Bloomberg TerminalnnProvide continued support for clients to ensure adoptionnnOccasional travel may be requirednnYou’ll need to have:nnAt least 3 years of working experience in the Financial Services or Financial Technology industrynnStrong technical knowledge of Excel / VBA and Python (Bloomberg BQNT experience is a plus)nnPrevious experience working with front office in financial markets and expertise in one or more asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities, FX, etc.)nnPrevious experience using Bloomberg Terminal or other data vendorsnnStrategic mind set and demonstrable commercial acumen - be able to weigh up the business opportunities of a project before executionnnHighly articulate, consultative, and confident in interactions with clientsnnWe 'd love to see:nnKnowledge of other programming languages such as R, Java, C# or similarnnExperience or qualifications with Data Science and Cloud Computing is a plusnnWhat’s It Like To Work Here?nnWe work hard.
