The ideal candidate for this role will provide administrative support by maintaining attendance tracking programs, processing payroll updates, maintaining files, and managing communications for the HR Department.nnPosition Duties:nnEvaluate the accuracy of timesheets submitted by each company department every week and contact supervisors or individual employees if there is a discrepancynManage electronic timekeeping systemsnEnter information accurately into the payroll system, including employee taxes, exemptions, transfers, and firings/resignations, as details changenRespond to any errors in payroll by reviewing past records and making wage corrections or adjustments, when necessarynTrack employee absences through the payroll software and recording details about personal days, sick leave, jury duty, or extended leaves of absence; additionally, track employee vacation accruals, approving/denying time off requests, and posting vacation calendarsnAnswer employee questions about payroll, leave amounts, tax forms, and other compensation issuesnParticipate in new employee orientationnHandle other duties, as assigned or deemed necessary by supervisorsnnPosition Requirements:nnPrior payroll experience required, with a strong understanding of employment and payroll taxesnStrong accounting and math skills, with exceptional attention to detailnExperience operating in a union environment preferrednA minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required; relevant College Degree or coursework in advanced math, finance, accounting, business, or other related field preferrednn#ALINE11
