GA-EMS’ expanding portfolio of specialized products and integrated system solutions support critical fleet, space systems and satellites, missile defense, power and energy, and process and monitoring applications for defense, industrial, and commercial customers worldwide.nnWe currently have an exciting opportunity within our Flight Software Design Engineering group for a Missile Flight Software Engineer to provide on-site support to the Sandia National Labs (SNL) Navigation Guidance & Control (NGC) group responsible for the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) program. This opportunity in Albuquerque, NM will focus on embedded software development activities enabling the integration of new capabilities, algorithms, and avionics devices. The established DevOps culture enables staff to contribute to all areas of software design, development, and test.nnDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:nnImplement the software development lifecycle process for the CPS programnnDevelop embedded software for highly reliable real-time flight systemsnnWrite device drivers for real-time operating systems; enable integration of new avionics componentsnnAssist with software development associated with software test fixtures such as Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) test assetsnnSupport system-level hardware testing including participation on-console with Assembly, Integration, and Test teamsnnArchitect and implement software test methodologiesnnAct as technical lead for software tasksnnContribute to software architecture design and developmentnnCoordinate and collaborate with external program partners to meet program-level objectives and achievementsnnPeriodic travel may be required to support system-level integration testing and flight test activities. Trip durations can range from a few days to several weeks, depending on assigned roles and responsibilities.nnPerforms other duties as assigned or required.nnWe recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.nn46987nnJob Qualifications:nnTypically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; twelve or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, ten or more years of experience with a masters degree, or seven or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.nnActive DoD or DoE clearance required.nnMust be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance. Active DoD Top Secret security clearance is preferred.nnExperience programming in C/C++ is required.nnExperience in object-oriented programming is required.nnExperience with Git required.nnThe ability to occasionally travel is required.nnExperience in embedded software development is required.nnExperience developing for real-time operating systems is desired.nnApplications experience with real-time embedded software engineering at the hardware level, including I/O driver software, interrupt service routines, and networking protocols is desired.nnFamiliarity with the Greenhills INTEGRITY® Real-time Operating System is desired.nnExperience with Matlab, Python, Powershell or other scripting languages desired.nnExperience with MISRA or AUTOSAR coding standards is desired.nnLab experience with use of common digital debugging tools (e.g. oscilloscopes, logic probes, and logic analyzers) is desired.nnExperience with software unit, integration, and functional testing is desired.nnExperience with Google Test is desired.nnExperience in the application of software engineering standards is desired.nnThe ability to collaborate and contribute as a member of a multi-disciplinary team is desired.nnProven strong written and verbal communication skills is desired.nnTechnical task leadership experience is desired.nnSalary: $105,800 - $189,388 Travel Percentage Required 0 - 25 Relocation Assistance Provided Provided US Citizenship Required?
