What you'll do:
As a Senior Database Administrator, you'll work closely with NFA leadership to develop and oversee the strategic direction of corporate databases at NFA. Specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical guidance to staff and database personnel to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Establishing, documenting and enforcing database standards and procedures.
- Monitoring production and test database environments for reliability and performance.
- Assigning tasks to, monitoring performance of and providing mentorship to database staff.
- Planning and executing database backup and recovery strategies across all environments.
- Designing and maintaining database systems, including logical and physical architecture.
- Maintaining thorough documentation of the database environment to support ongoing operations.
- Collaborating with applications and technical services teams to resolve database-related issues.
- Evaluating and optimizing application performance to ensure efficient database usage.

- Proven success in database analysis, design, and programming
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience working with database software products and 3 years with SQL Server database systems.
- A degree in computer science, information systems, or related field preferred
- Exposure to Azure SQL databases and Azure Data Factory a plus
- Knowledge of Oracle or Netezza databases a plus
- Ability to work independently on complex database projects
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
The salary range for this position is: $98,200-$172,800.00
