Our large energy industry client is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to transform its current training program for technicians into a unified, competency-based enterprise-wide training system. This initiative will involve updating and customizing curricula to align with identified competency requirements across different job positions and business lines.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing content and map it to the approved competency framework produced by the learning analyst.
- Create the design and confer with the developer about images and interactions contemplated.
- Produce a story board with suggested images, interaction and a voice over script.
- Work with Quality Assurance and subject matter experts to ensure updated content meets the technical and competency requirements.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field.
- Proficient in analysis and providing recommendations and best practices for blended learning solutions.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and educational technologies.
- Experience in creating training for highly technical content, within the oil and gas industry.
- Expertise with Articulate 360, must own license
- Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
- A strong portfolio of relevant work samples.
- Able to collaborate in a large team and to work on two-three lessons at a time.
Start Date: Q3 2024
Duration: through the end of 2025 with likely extensions
Hours: 40 hours per week (would consider 20 hours)
Location: 100% Virtual
The pay range is $55 to $60 per hour W2. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
