Overview
Position Highlights:

Responsibilities
  • Operate C-Arm in a sterile environment in the operating room at a multi-specialty ASC.
  • Follow instructions from Physicians intraoperatively regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging in the Operating Room
  • Correctly position the patient, adjust the imaging equipment to the specified position
  • Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to the patient, staff, and themselves.
  • Follow correct techniques and procedures such as patient shielding.
  • Order and Upload imaging via EMR and PACS
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of specific areas of body requested by physician.
  • Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Moves x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.
  • Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
  • Obtain patient's pertinent history.
  • Maintain OSHA regulations.
  • Performs other projects and duties as related to department objective.
  • Must be able to get along with others, to be a team player, to accept constructive criticism from your supervisor and be able to follow work rules.
  • Reports to OR Supervisor or Charge RN for work assignments.
  • Will assist with film quality control.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six month to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be AART registered or eligible also IDNS licensed.
  • CPR certification
  • 6 months-2 years related experience
