The Director of Purchasing manages all costs for construction projects, including new home starts, variance tracking, and vendor management. Responsibilities include bidding, maintaining cost data, developing cost-reduction strategies, and overseeing subcontractor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cost data and take-offs
• Bid on plans and elevations, and cost structural options
• Provide monthly budgets and assist in setting home prices
• Approve EPO requests
• Negotiate pricing and manage vendor relationships
• Lead new product development and create specifications for new home plans
• Work with Surveyor and Engineer for permit documents

Desired Experience:

• 2-5 years in residential construction
• Estimating/purchasing experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with homebuilding software packages
