Solution Architect Responsibilities:
- Designing comprehensive solutions that align with business requirements and architectural standards;
- Engaging in solution evaluations, providing recommendations for technology procurement, including RFSQ and RFP processes;
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring solutions are implemented as intended;
- Developing proof of concepts with a focus on achieving business outcomes;
- Ensuring the successful and sustainable delivery of solutions and services into operations;
- Contribute to architecture committees and the ongoing enhancement of architectural practices;
- Collaborating with project teams to develop conceptual and detailed architecture designs, providing the necessary guidance across business, information, application, and technical perspectives;
- Identifying technical risks and devise mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Skills and Experience:
- Expert level communicator (ability to communicate and present effectively, create effective tailored content);
- Experience working closely with the business to guide them from start to finish through the solution's process and into final delivery;
- Experience designing and implementing technology solutions that enable an organization to achieve its digital transformation goals;
- Experience integrating systems using out of the Box and custom connectors;
- Canadian federal, provincial, municipal government or similar work;
- Government of Saskatchewan/Utilities or similar work;
- Experience with architectural methodologies;
- Education: bachelor’s degree, Certifications or equivalent experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have experience as a technical lead on two large scale ($1 Million+) IT projects in a Solution Architect role;
- Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) systems and integration to/from modern enterprise systems;
- Experience working within a governance framework for change, project, and information management;
- Full-time on-site work at SaskEnergy Head Office in Regina, Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm.

The proposed Solution Architect must be able to work on-site at SaskEnergy Head Office in Regina, Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm. The proposed hourly rate shall be inclusive of all travel and living costs (PST and GST are extra).
