Position Responsibilities
• Assures that the CVL procedural rooms are prepared to receive patients, ensuring room is stocked and all emergency equipment is checked.

• Adheres to proper aseptic/sterile technique when prepping table, draping pt, performing skin prep for vascular or open access and donning sterile gown, gloves, and mask.
• Assembles department related data for periodic reviews and/or special projects as assigned.
• Demonstrates ability to operate imaging equipment including movement of table and gantry, adjusting magnification, DSA, run-offs, measurements, etc.
• Monitors the implementation of assigned tasks until the end. Provides feedback on the outcome as required.
• Participates in weekend leadership huddle and finalizes staffing schedule accordingly for following work week as assigned.
• Follows the National Patient Safety goals as required.
• Follows Patient Safety goals as established by the department; supports effective responses to adverse and sentinel events; provides an on-going proactive approach to reduce risk; integrates patient safety as a priority into new and existing processes.
• Ensures that Interventional Radiology labs are maintained to meet the guidelines adopted by the Joint Commission.
• Ensures that all charges are completed in EPIC for cases performed for that day.
• Complies with current Hospital security and safety polices.
• All other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
• Current license as a Radiologic Technologist with or without the Cardiac- Interventional Radiography-RT
• Vascular-Interventional Radiography-RT( R)(VI) credentialing from the ARRT
• Or credentialed by the CCI as a RCIS, RCES or a CCT. BLS/ACLS certification required.
