The restaurants at Great Jones Distilling Co. are a new concept that blends a New York Distillery with elevated cuisine. We are looking for food runners to join the opening team and be a part of this new concept. Candidates must have the following:
Primary Functions:
- Run and announce food to tables, and maintain the food pass, and buss tables
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions
- Maintain pleasant demeanor with staff and guests
- Organizational Skills
- Ability to maintain our sanitation standards
- Punctuality
- Professional, polite and reliable
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work standing for a minimum period of 8 hours per day
- Periodic bending, kneeling and stretching
- Pull, push, move, carry and lift (at least 40 pounds of force is required)
- Must be able to grasp, turn, and hold objects
Specific Accountabilities:
- Must have a strong command of all of our menus
- Run food to tables quickly and carefully
- Articulate to guests the dishes they are presenting
- Clear plates and empty glassware
- Organize and clean the food pass
- Fold chip paper, stuff copper cups, and unfold c-folds for the kitchen
- Set up and breakdown the food pass (ie stock necessary silver, foodstuffs, and setup ticket rails)
- Properly rotate and store any food stuffs on the pass
- Assist in the kitchen behind the pass when necessary
- Collect utensils and plateware for large format dinners
- Notify manager of any guest or staff related issues within a timely fashion.
