Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk to join our client's team on a contract basis. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Data Entry & Processing: Prepare and enter data by compiling, sorting, and prioritizing source documents for computer entry. Ensure accuracy and completeness by reviewing documents for deficiencies and discrepancies, resolving issues through established procedures.
- Account Maintenance: Input alphabetic and numeric information using keyboard or optical scanner in accordance with screen formats. Maintain data entry standards by adhering to company techniques and procedures.
- Verification & Correction: Review, correct, delete, or re-enter customer and account data to ensure accuracy. Combine data from multiple systems when necessary and purge files to eliminate duplications.
- System Testing: Support system upgrades and changes by inputting new data and reviewing outputs for accuracy.
- Data Security: Ensure the security of sensitive information by completing database backups and maintaining confidentiality.
- Compliance & Operations: Follow company policies and procedures to maintain smooth operations and report necessary changes.
- Team Collaboration: Contribute to team efforts by achieving results as needed and collaborating effectively with peers and supervisors.
Qualifications: - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in data entry and the ability to manage large volumes of information.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow internal procedures.
- Familiarity with data entry software and systems is a plus.
- Experience in accounts payable or related fields preferred.
