Our focus is reducing the environmental risk posed by 56 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste stored in 177 underground tanks on the Hanford Site located in Richland, WA. Join us today and be a part of history WRPS is looking for an Operations Support Specialist to support the Electronic Procedures group. Under minimal supervision this position will administer and refine various programmatic functions in support of the Core Procedures organization. This includes supporting operational program compliance, planning, scheduling and maintaining the periodic review process for Administrative and Technical procedures, tracking and monitoring work performance, testing and implementing eTools, and special projects in related areas. They will interface and coordinate with other groups within the facility, department and site in support of this effort. This position will assist in maintaining the process tools used by the Core Procedures organization. The process tools include an electronic workflow review and approval process (WRAP), an archive database known as the integrated document management system (IDMS), self-developed programs for procedure reporting (Procedure Reporting Utility), procedure numbering, metric monitoring, the Core Procedure website, SharePoint, and the desk instructions/presentations. They will conduct reviews and analysis of processes, workflows, and technical support for Core Procedures. Initiates work requests, workflows, and monitors progress. Other functions performed by the group include research/analysis of next generation processing tools, records management, and project support. This will include the performance of workflow reviews, procedure reviews, and the review and analysis of specific Core Procedure process errors, identify trends, while providing and implementing solutions and opportunities for improvement. They will participate on Review Teams and other special committees to provide technical comments and input. They will attend daily iCAS meetings and monitor and track actions assigned to the Core Procedures organization. This position will be responsible for preparation of detailed presentations, status reports and recommendations on various functional and programmatic procedure operations areas for the organization and middle to upper management. They will demonstrate positive and adverse trends in procedure operations, procedure operations support, and records management performance measures. This position will identify causal factors and develop recommendations to mitigate adverse trends and to enhance positive trends. They will provide tracking and trending of data and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining internal Performance Metrics charts and reports. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Grade 17: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS and 6-7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Grade 18: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS and 8 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased. Desired Qualifications Proficient in MS Office Suite. Experience with electronic workflows, records databases, procedure management systems, SharePoint and Rapid web pages. Have a Procedure Professional Association (PPA) certification. Compensation & Benefits In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, WRPS takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
