Requisition ID: 165766nnPosition SummarynnPerform work involving the erection and dismantling of scaffolding, operation of heavy equipment, rigging the equipment loads, and completion of various construction projects.nnExperience LevelnnSkillednnPrimary Responsibilities and Dutiesnn• Read blueprints and specification to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.nn• Identify all tools required for tasks and measure, mark, and cut required wooden/metallic materials to required specifications.nn• Erect and disassemble scaffolding for buildings and other structures and installs ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways.nn• Construct, re-enforce, and dismantle pre-constructed Scaffolds.nn• Build and construct wooden Scaffolds and auxiliary items.nn• Perform work involving rigging of equipment loads.nn• Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.nn• Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.nnQualificationsnn• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.nn• Must possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position.nn• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.nn• Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement toolsnnRequirementsnn• The person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site,nnso should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawlnn• Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoornnweather conditionsnn• Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as requirednn• May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to accessnnrequired equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb andnnmaintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffoldsnn• Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfacesnn• Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environmentnn• May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds acrossnnconstruction/industrial sitenn• Must have required toolsnn• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as requirednn• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, fit for duty medical and backgroundnnchecknnWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
