Holcim is 70,000 people around the world who are passionate about building progress for people and the planet through four business segments: Cement, Ready-Mix Concrete, Aggregates and Solutions & Products.nnDescription:nnABOUT THE ROLEnnThe Industrial Electrician position is a multi-skilled position responsible for the operation and maintenance of the electrical systems in the cement plant.nnWHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGnnTroubleshoot and repair a diverse range of electrical equipment throughout the cement plant (Example: Instrumentation circuits, motor control circuits up to 13.8 kilovolts, low and medium voltage drives, monitoring analyzers)nnSchematic reading & instrumentation calibrationnnDigital and Analog PLC program use in troubleshootingnnLow and medium voltage cable routing, splicing and terminatingnnBasic mechanical activities (For example: Non-critical welding, laser alignment)nnPerform walk-by inspections & diagnostic checksnnMaintain documentation, plan and organize work, participate in various team activitiesnnOther duties as assigned.nnWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORnnRequired Education: High School Diploma/GEDnnAdditional Education: 2 years’ electrical related experience in an industrial environment is requirednnRequired Computer and Software Skills: Effective computer and systems skillsnnTravel Requirements: MinimalnnAdditional Requirements:nnRequired to work with high voltages (up to 13.8 kV), work outside, at heights, warm temperatures and in confined spaces.nnPosition will be predominantly day shift but incumbent will be required to work shifts as necessary.nnIdeal candidates would have a high technical aptitudennAbility to work in a team based environmentnnExperience in a heavy manufacturing environment for at least 1 year preferred.nnExcellent electrical knowledgennFamiliarity with National Electrical Code for applications up to 15 kilovolts.
