Job Summary: The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on equipment, infrastructure, and facilities. In addition, this position may be called upon to assist with mechanical repairs or building maintenance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Follow work instructions as provided.
- Perform electrical installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and service for the plant envelope including building, equipment and grounds.
- Dismantle, repair and reassemble electrical components on standard, multi-action presses, and die set presses, sintering furnaces and support equipment.
- Electrical systems repair (component replacement, soldering, etc.)
- Complete Maintenance requests and Documentation.
- Understanding on use and location of shop equipment and maintenance supplies.
- Ability to start, stop and lock-out all production equipment.
- Observe all plant safety rules & practices, and most specifically the lockout - tag out process.
- Exhibit good housekeeping practices.
- Material handling such as the operation of forklifts, elevated platforms, and powered industrial devices.
- Assist in developing and training Co-workers.
- Program robotic equipment, PLC's, and logic control devices.
- Assist in mechanical repair as required.
- Perform other duties as directed.
Required Skills and Abilities: - High School diploma or equivalent.
- Formal Training from an Accredited Electrical Program or Equivalent Work Experience.
- Good proficiency on computer software systems.
- Experience in electrical control devices (Microprocessors, PLC, Servo Drives, Industrial Robotics) and industrial electrical installation.
- Knowledge of NEC and a background that includes electrical systems from 5 volt to 480 volt is required.
- Work history of Powder compacting presses and sintering equipment.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Pennsylvania driver's license.
